Tote-ally Next Level
In this advanced bag making class, students will build on their sewing skills while creating a more complex, customizable tote. You’ll learn a range of elevated techniques—including installing an interior zipper pocket, adding options to your slip pocket, choosing between multiple handle styles, and incorporating an optional crossbody strap. You’ll also have the choice of finishing your bag with either a snap or a zipper closure. By the end of class, you’ll walk away with a polished, highly functional tote designed to fit your personal style and skills that can be applied to many purse and bag patterns.

| Requirements: | Bring or purchase scissors, cotton thread, rotary cutter, mat, sewing machine, iron, fabric (main - 1 fat quarter, coordinating - ½ yard, lining ¾ yard), usible fleece or 1/4" foam (if using foam bring temporary basting spray), webbing 52", 7" zipper, 16" #5 zipper ------- Attendees may use one of our Bernina machines for no additional costs instead of bringing your own sewing machine; Sew Much also has an iron, ironing board and cutting mat for use by attendees; All items may also be purchased at Sew Much the day of the event |
